Elbow Pain Physical Therapy in Hackensack, NJ
End the Elbow Pain Guessing Game
Elbow Pain That Flares Every Time You Train Isn't Just Bad Luck.
Rest Calms It Down. Training Brings It Right Back.
Backing off lifting or your racket calms the irritation for a while. But the tendon overload that caused it in the first place is still there. The moment you go back to training, the pain comes with you.
A Wrist Brace Isn't Treating the Real Problem.
Bracing and rest reduce symptoms, but they don't address grip mechanics, forearm tendon overload, or the movement patterns driving your pain. Without a full assessment, the same overload keeps returning.
Every Week You Compensate, You Risk More.
Favoring your elbow shifts strain into your wrist, shoulder, and grip. The longer tennis elbow or golfer's elbow goes untreated, the more it spreads — and the harder it becomes to fix.
A Full Elbow Assessment, Not a Generic Protocol
Tennis elbow and golfer's elbow are two of the most common overuse injuries we see in active adults — and two of the most frequently mistreated. At Ethos, every session is 60 minutes of hands-on care built around a full assessment of your forearm, wrist, and grip mechanics before we ever start treatment.

What Brings Patients to Us With Elbow Pain
Whether your elbow pain built up gradually from repetitive gripping and swinging or flared suddenly during a heavy lift, we start by finding what's actually driving it — then build a plan to fix it at the source.
Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) from racket sports, lifting, or repetitive gripping
Golfer's elbow (medial epicondylitis) from golf, throwing, or repetitive wrist flexion
Forearm and wrist tendonitis that flares with training or daily activity

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before your first visit for elbow pain care at Ethos Physical Therapy.
Do you accept insurance?
Ethos PT is a cash-based, self-pay clinic. We don't bill insurance directly, so your care is never limited by what an insurer decides to cover. We provide superbills through Reimbursify for possible out-of-network reimbursement, at no cost to you. HSA and FSA payments are accepted.
What's the difference between tennis elbow and golfer's elbow?
Tennis elbow affects the tendons on the outside of the elbow, often from gripping or backhand motions. Golfer's elbow affects the tendons on the inside, often from throwing or golf swings. Both respond well to a thorough assessment and targeted hands-on treatment.
Do I need a referral to start?
No referral is needed. New Jersey allows direct access to physical therapy, so you can book directly without seeing a doctor first. Not sure if we're the right fit? Start with a free discovery call and we'll talk through what's going on before you commit to anything.
Can I keep lifting or playing while treating elbow pain?
In many cases, yes — with smart modifications. We identify what your elbow can tolerate right now and what needs to change temporarily, so you can keep lifting, swinging, or training while we work on what is actually driving the pain behind the scenes.
How is Ethos different from other clinics?
Every session is one-on-one for a full 60 minutes with a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. No aides, no shared time. We assess your full forearm and grip mechanics — not just where it hurts — and build treatment around what we find.
